Right I've had and really annoying creaking sound coming from the boot of my Astra, tried everything, got my nephew in boot with the seats down he said it was coming from the drivers side back pillow, then read on a few online forums to check the boot struts... So i taken the drivers side strut off ( the side that the noise were coming from) and great the noise had gone. SILENCE AT LAST. So i then got a brand new one from bullseye £25 I've put that on and now the horrible noise is back i cant work out for the life of me whats happening, its a sort of plastic creaking noise, i have removed to strut alltogever now getting on my nerves. Any ideas???? Thanks.

Probably already done it but if I were you I'd be tempted to nip up the screws on the brackets.
