Your model wasn't even in the book I got it a few months back though. The one below mine was a Design and the one up was the limited edition.
So rather than fitting the a £12 Aftermarket kit it prob will have cost around £200 in total to fit at least.
Suppose thats the price you pay just so i can see it on a little screen ha

I hope so, It just will have to be a lot of effort because it looks like il have to do about a 1000 miles in total to get it all activated or 2 return trips to bournemouth Its not a problem just will have to put stuff on hold while i go America.
I want some parking sensors painting and some scratchs on my car sorted out how much do you think it would cost and do you recommend anyone to go to?

Looks like the one in this picture. The plug in the rec doesnt have pins for it though just a plastic outline.

I ordered the cable you said as you pointed out it was the same one for the tpms and parking sensors. Everything likes fine apart from what to do with that plug.

Finally gone and bought the vxdiag cable in the hope it will work to activate my parking sensors. If it doesnt work itll be roadtrip down south.
Is there any markings on the bumper where to drill the parking sensor holes. I believe there should be a cross and circle but i havent took my bumper off yet but i cant see the marking on pictures. Also does it need to be a 29mm drill bit?

Its a Chinese replica of the gm cable so it should connect to sps according there description so i can activate a few different things. I dont expect much from it to be fair as it isnt the official lead and normally there are issues but its worth a try before i organize to drive down to Bournemouth to get them activated as i would have to make a few trips.

Enviado do meu iPhone usando o Tapatalk No it won't... All that stuff needs MDI and needs to go via vauxhall and they have to approve it etc. That thing Alex has may just allow basic enabling of features already built into the car but nor activated... Won't do xenons or anything like that I'd imagine

If it works it should be able to activate things like xenons and navi because you should be able to use it to access SPS i am hoping i can use it to activate a few things but they all require a vci so i shall see how things go. You will still need a GM subscription so you still need to pay for the vci codes.
The only benefit is it is a lot cheaper than the genuine gm kit.

You will find you have to be a business registered and able to get a D-U-N-S number, you will also need to pay €15 reg fee then you have the cost's per hour.
You need to apply for extra access to be able to do certain things.
As for Xenon's no-one will be able to activate them as GM will not support it any more.
Parking sensors do not need a VCI (none of the one's I've done have).

Not the best of paint jobs as ive only every sprayed once before but everytime you can learn and get better
I am not going to lie as it is a start and hopefully you wont be able to tell once its on the car. Hopefully going to facelift my car next year anyway so will look into get a bumper with sensors already installed.
All i need is the sensor and the ring sprayed as you wont see the rest
Looking for the right drill size with a piece of acrylic. 25mm hole drill.

Update as Ive not posted in a while so here's a couple of pictures of how my car stands at the minute.
New sensors
New radio
I modified the existing USB connectors to fit a aux and USB extension.
I have also hard wired my dash cam before Christmas and bought rubber floor mats and a boot liner.
Debating about putting the speedometer idea on hold aswell as it is a lot of hassle so I think I may give up.

Just a word of advice for anyone looking into doing cheap programming. Stay away from the VXdiag GM.
I purchased it for my car and it completely screwed everything up due to issues with it communicating.
Ended up sorting it by driving to see @Rusty2009 to use the genuine MDI tool.
That VXdiag messed up my Cruise Control, Airbag, brake pedal sensor and also may have cause the engine management light to come on and the fan to intermittently come on saying there was an issue with the thermostat.

Has anyone put a Corsa E / Astra K steering wheel on there car? Do you know if the connections are the and if the Cruise Control button can be swapped for the one without speed limiter.

So it took long enough,
Its official, after a year of messing around i finally have the genuine parking sensors working. The problem was i bought 4 for £20 IIRC so after looking at them further i dont think they was genuine parking sensors. So i bought 4 genuine parking sensors, sprayed them up and it worked first time.
Next task is to replace the thermostat as thats been playing up, been quote stupid prices off garages at around £150-£200 to change it so i will do it myself for £50 and an hours work.
And then once thats sorted i shall sell my radio and fascia to retrofit a navi 600.
After i finished my parking sensors i found out that it wasnt getting any power, so i also had to buy a new Rear fuse board which pointed me towards the issue with the sensors that i had to fix.

So as you can see the plans that i had for the car didnt happen, had quite a few problems whilst owning it for 4 years so got rid of it on Monday.
Currently without a car but eyeing up a 2013 2.0 CDTIinsignia SRi Nav with 18" alloys. If everything goes to plan hopefully i may do a couple of retrofits on it. Plans will be finallized tomorrow.
No reverse sensors on the car but i can probbaly live without them. However getting DAB and bluetooth installed would be nice.
Has rear wind up windows aswell, however the car has auto headlights, climate control, fog lights and navi 600 which is an upgrade over the Astra.

Keep an eye on the oil seal seems to be the death of the 2.0cdti insignia engines. but I guess you already know that given you changed the engine.

I got the oil pick up seal changed when i had the replacement engine fitted. Is that a different seal or same one your thinking of?
