so at what milage should i change my glow plugs on my 2.0 cdti 
anyone done it and tool needed for taking them out

You only really need to change them when the car starts to struggle starting (As you know they only used to start the car).

You have stop/start so not going to be cheap I think they use the same as J if so http://www.autovaux.co.uk/product/555794...afira.aspx

yep it's exactly the same just wondered if they have a replacement life span
i would rather replace things before there is a problem
