Fuses
#1
Hi guys,
Today my washers wouldn't work so checked the fuse in the engine bay and it had blown.
Tried a few places to get a new fuse but no joy, only tried walking distance tho lol.
So I thought, on my vectra the fuse box had some spares.
Looked at the book with the fuse diagrams and looked in the boot, I needed a small 10amp fuse.
Under location 7 was blank in the book but a red fuse in there.
I've taken it out and put in the washer space and it worked.
I want to know if the books are correct and the fuses are not trim specific etc....
No lights on the dash came up just wanted to make sure I hadn't stopped anything working.

think you have taken the seat heating fuse out

there is a full list of fuses here mate

http://www.vxoc.org.uk/forum/Thread-Fuses

there are fuses in the fuse boxes that are not listed
if they are not listed and are there they should be not used
you can get the small fuses from halfords
so it wont do any harm till you get there

the washer fuses can blow if the water in the pipes are frozen
this happens to save the motor from blowing up
it is best to use washer fluid that does not freeze
this time of year instead of water

Ye I thought that's why it had blown. I use a good mixture of screen wash and water but we been getting minus 3 and 4 in Wales recently.
I don't have heated seats in my astra but ye I think I should put one back in just incase!

I think controls the mirrors I know a lot of the fuses do more than 1 item so best to replace mate as soon as you can.
