I've got the B5754 and have found it really good. Quite a few people on here have the M072, but I think they're a lot older spec now and also depends whether the SD card slots on the front of the M072 bothers you.

Dose the steering wheel controls and the radio front still work with the b5754

Yes mate, everything works as before, heater controls come up on the screen only thing you lose is factory DAB if you have it, but I’ve bought an after market one for £27.

Which dab did you get to work on the B5754

I’ve bought this one
https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/DAB-Digital-Rad...8379?txnId
But as far as I’m aware, any USB type should work as long as it states it’s compatible with android 6.0

Cool, let us know how it performs please, So does that mean your stuck with android 6? Not sure if upgrading these units is even possible!

Cheers Ronnie

Yeah you can, look for this icon with the car

Press it and scroll down to where it says “traffic left or right “ and select left

You can also adjust how long your lights stay on after unlocking if your car has that function.
As for the sat nav, I’ve got igo and have paid £22 for the offline maps but it’s down to personal preference, some like google maps, some like wave and there are probably a few more

They are good, but I don’t know if you’ll gain a lot for what it would cost you?

Hello all

Been looking at either android unit or vaxuhall orig head units to replace my CD400.

Did you both buy the B5754 head unit from ICE? Is it possible to use my mobile phone as a wifi hot stop to the unit and even possibly a sim for data?

Thanks,
Param.

Yeah they were from Icebox and yes you can use your mobile as a WiFi hotspot. Not sure if you can add a sim dongle you’d have to contact Icebox.

Thank you for the quick reply.

I saw the link you put on for the DAB from ebay. Would this do the same job as what Ice are offering for £50?

Cheers again.

To be honest the dab unit I put a link to is pants!!! I can’t say if the Icebox version is any better because I don’t know anyone who’s bought one. The android unit itself is well worth the money

I have emailed ICE with a few questions - after that I'll be buying. Quite excited. DAB would be a bonus so might ask them what theirs is like and purchase that if it sounds alright.

Did your car have a USB port on it? If so, were you able to configure that to the unit? My Astra has a aux port but not USB, thinking of adding that if it can be connected to the android unit.

Unfortunately you can’t use factory usb with this unit. It does have 2 usb ports plus a micro sd card slot.

Perfect. Saves me having to faff about trying to add the USB.

Thanks. Will post pics once I have purchased and installed it. Thanks again for all your help.

Is there a better upgrade or the DAB side of things as I use DAB everyday and would be lost without it?
