ECU Updates?
#1
Just purchased my car and despite having a full service history it has never been to a Vauxhall garage in the 6 years it's been registered. I use a trusted independent garage who will be doing all the future work on it but I'm wondering does it need at least one trip to Vauxhall for software (ECU) updates or anything like that?

Why would you update something that isn't broken?

This is what dealers do oh there's a fault lets apply the update rather than fixing the issue before hand while it may solve the issue for a short while but it's not long before the car is back in with the same issue.
