How do you check gearbox oil on A20DTH/160ps? - Vx-Mad-G - 2:nd-Dec-2020

We have a 2011/11 Astra J CDTI 160.

Always felt the gears are a bit stiff, is there a way of checking the oil level, or does something else somewhere else need some lubrication?

Comparing to my other cars, both Insignia's with the same engine, the Astra really requires more force on the gearstick to engage, not harsh, but noticably more pressure.

Clutch is fine, we have had to four years and its been the same since day 1.

Thanks.

No real way to check the level on the box.

My advise would be a cable adjustment may need 3 goes.

If you notice an improvement then all good. You can then decide if you want to do a gearbox oil change.

How do you do that adjustment? How do I get underneath the gear stick?
