Timing locking kit help - trevorgetty@aol.com - 24:th-Jan-2019

Hi i am looking for a timing kit for my 1.6t a16let astra 2012 j series gtc.

It needs a head gasket change and maybe skim but need the timing tools first.

I see loads on ebay for the j series 1.0 1.2 and 1.4 but not the 1.6turbo.

I have found one lazer kit but says a16xht instead 1.6sidi so might be wrong one. the 40 ebay ones are usually what i use As this is a one time use i dont mind the cheaper kits if i can find them. I have a few cheapers kits and they do fine for non commercial use.

So any help or links appreciated really could do with this asap please thanks as always. T.

There isn't a 1.0 or a 1.2L Astra J.

Is this any good cover 1.6 A16LET?

I seen this one and seen it match the a16let code. Can someone comment for defo if the 1.6 and 1.6turbo is same setup for timing chain and therefore this kit is fine. I hope so it just does not say anything about the turbo model. But that may just be manifold and ancillary differences but cam and timing setup could be the same. If anyone knows for sure or can check the codes mentioned for the kit pins that would be great otherwise at that price i dont mind buying and checking lol. Tnx.

Could be worth dropping the seller a message.

The online workshop manual has some info.
