Cold engine idle - Lee - 14:th-Aug-2018
Hi, I've just bought my first diesel and it happens to be a GTC SRI 2 ltr CDTi. I love it. My only question so far is that when I initially start the engine from cold, it's not a smooth idle and you can feel it through the car with a slight rocking. Is this normal? A common problem? After a few minutes, it idles fine and there seems to be no other issues. I searched for the answer before posting so apologies if the answer is buried here somewhere.

Welcome to forum on cold start you can get some rough idle normally settles down quickly tho.
I tend to find it does it more if the battery is low on juice.
