NAVI 900 > NAVI 950 (2013) - Lansa - 21:st-Jul-2018 Howdy folks, I was wondering if it's possible to get a navi 950 retrofitted in a 2013 car. It originally has a NAVI 900 (with bluetooth). Would it need wiring changes? I'm aware of the VCI codes required. I do own a MDI clone myself which hopefully will be able to program this. Thank you in advance RE: NAVI 900 > NAVI 950 (2013) - Rusty2009 - 22:nd-Jul-2018 Yes it is possible. Only need to run a MIC wire. be-aware of the VCI cost as the VCI is €95.00 RE: NAVI 900 > NAVI 950 (2013) - Lansa - 22:nd-Jul-2018 (22:nd-Jul-2018, 08:41:19)Rusty2009 Wrote: Yes it is possible. Oh my vehicle has a built in microphone, or do they use a different connection? Are the wiring the same then? Thanks in advance RE: NAVI 900 > NAVI 950 (2013) - Rusty2009 - 22:nd-Jul-2018 The mic goes into the A11x4 plug on the back rather than the BT module and radio. yes apart from the mic. Ahh i see, Thanks a bunch Rusty! Time to go scout for parts! RE: NAVI 900 > NAVI 950 (2013) - Tylerrattv - 25:th-Jul-2018 i did it on my GTC that had a Navi900 i just jumped the connections on the plug that plugs into the BT module on the pin 9 to 18 pin 8 to 17 and pin 7 to 16. To change the Vin on the head unit i used a post on Cruzetalk.com pretty easy. no GM reprogramming required. https://www.cruzetalk.com/forum/137-gen1-audio-electrical-tutorials/224625-how-disassemble-radio-program-vin.html RE: NAVI 900 > NAVI 950 (2013) - Lansa - 26:th-Jul-2018 Thanks for the very helpfull tutorial man! I'll most likely try to get a used Navi 950, Would you happen to know if the display needs to be changed aswell? I heard they use a different one. RE: NAVI 900 > NAVI 950 (2013) - Rusty2009 - 26:th-Jul-2018 Display does need changing. RE: NAVI 900 > NAVI 950 (2013) - sw_reijnders - 15:th-Jun-2019 is it okay to hack into this topic?? if i want to replace a cd500 with a navi 950 what parts need to be changed? RE: NAVI 900 > NAVI 950 (2013) - Rusty2009 - 16:th-Jun-2019 (15:th-Jun-2019, 22:42:32)sw_reijnders Wrote: is it okay to hack into this topic?? Of course it is. Main Navi box Display screen The control panel will still work but your find the Radio/band becomes the home button the CD/AUX becomes the source button. Yes they are. No the UPH module will need to be removed as it's not used a new microphone wire would need to be ran up-to the roof, also if you have DAB you may need to add 2 data wires from DAB module to main radio plug. RE: NAVI 900 > NAVI 950 (2013) - Lansa - 16:th-Jun-2019 As mentioned before on Facebook, the older generation astra radio's had a seperate bluetooth module "UPH". It sits underneath the radio box. CD300, CD400, CD500, DVD 800, Navi 600, Navi 900. These UPH bluetooth modules can only do phone calls. (CD600, Navi 650 usually come with a UPH module, but there are versions of these radios which can bluetooth stream music) The Navi 950 has it's own modern bluetooth module build into the radio itself. Which supports AD2P aswell as some more modern handsfree api's. --------- If you wish to retrofit this radio, you'll have to disable your existing bluetooth module. And then you have to rewire the existing microphone in your headliner to the back of the navi 950. (see A11x4) You could try and depin the mic wires that go into the UPH module to the 950... (see K82 below) But it's easier to just run new wires. (Rusty sells these replacement looms). The hard part is scoring the unit itself, scrapyards know they're worth more. K82 A11x4 RE: NAVI 900 > NAVI 950 (2013) - welshp - 27:th-Nov-2020 Hi Guys, appreciate this thread spans a couple of years but having now purchased a NAVI 950 to replace my CD500 (NAV & DAB) assuming it was cheaper and easier (as in direct manufacturer replacement) than an aftermarket Android Auto with supporting looms / fascia etc. I may have made some unfounded assumptions :( @Lansa, do you have a link to the microphone loom that rusty sells please? Also, if the UHP module is no longer required, does this imply that DAB is included in the 950 and thus normal DAB rather than DAB+? Cheers, Paul. For DAB+ you will need an extra module and will be DAB+ (u4d module) @rusty2009 will be able to sell you the loom if you ask him RE: NAVI 900 > NAVI 950 (2013) - Jpbroad1970 - 27:th-Nov-2020 Hi Paul if you already have uhp you can depin it out of the uhp connector and attach into 950 as previously described you still need a dab module DAB+ is the better you also need to make sure the 950 is programmed for dab etc @rusty2009 can program off the car for you to include rear camera too RE: NAVI 900 > NAVI 950 (2013) - Rusty2009 - 28:th-Nov-2020 I believe I've had an email which I will respond to tomorrow. Found Rusty's website (should have looked harder initially lol) and emailed him directly. Just waiting on a query about programming. and still trying to find a 'sensibly priced' U4D (DAB+) :( RE: NAVI 900 > NAVI 950 (2013) - Jpbroad1970 - 8:th-Dec-2020 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VAUXHALL-2013-MOKKA-RADIO-RECEIVER-ECU-MODULE-UNIT-13410170-/114563540528?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292 Cheapest I've found for a while RE: NAVI 900 > NAVI 950 (2013) - welshp - 8:th-Dec-2020 (8:th-Dec-2020, 21:09:43)Jpbroad1970 Wrote: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VAUXHALL-2013-MOKKA-RADIO-RECEIVER-ECU-MODULE-UNIT-13410170-/114563540528?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292 Nice 1 Jpbroad1970, bagged that for £50 Did look on there not long before you posted but failed to see it so thanks very much RE: NAVI 900 > NAVI 950 (2013) - Jpbroad1970 - 8:th-Dec-2020 No worries, bit of a mission of mine finding cheaper bits |
