AUX Ground Loop problem! Can anyone help? - bagnallman - 7:th-Nov-2017 Hi I'm an owner of a 2013 Astra GTC with a slight issue when using the AUX cable for my music. I have white noise/crackling when plugging into the AUX socket, which I believe is a ground loop isolation problem after some research online. That would mean that there is an earthing/grounding problem somewhere amongst the car's electricals. Purchasing a ground loop isolator to plug into may be one option - but I was wondering if anyone knew the cause of the issue? Or has had the problem themselves and managed to locate the culprit? As finding the issue and cleaning/fixing the earth would be my preferred resolution All the best :-) RE: AUX Ground Loop problem! Can anyone help? - Rusty2009 - 8:th-Nov-2017 Can I ask what radio system you have fitted? as the aux is wired different across the range. RE: AUX Ground Loop problem! Can anyone help? - bagnallman - 11:th-Nov-2017 Sorry for late reply. It is a cd400. For those who may be suffering a similar problem. I have tried cheaper eBay alternatives but they are of poorer quality. This cable seems to of solved my issue: https://www.studiospares.com/Cables-Leads/Leads-Minijack/Studiospares-Mini-Jack-Ground-Loop-Isolation-Cable-15m_590660.htm However, this is just disguising the problem and any ideas to a permanent fix would be appreciated. Thank you RE: AUX Ground Loop problem! Can anyone help? - Rusty2009 - 12:th-Nov-2017 I'll grab you the wiring info later. RE: AUX Ground Loop problem!
