Got a problem with daytime lights. They come on then one works then doesn't then does.

Could be a faulty connection

Is it a daytime lamp with bulb?
Could be also broken filament of the bulb (touching the contact here and there).

In this case, it is probably a faulty contact.

Did you fit the LED's yourself? Is there any chance of CANBUS complaining about it? my headlights have been upgraded and the CANBUS isn't friendly so they flicker about from time to time or simply refuse to come on. One side working 90% of the time okay mind.

Fitted myself. Don't interfere with canbus as not on it (so I thought)

If you have a 5dr then the DRL/sidelights and dipped beam are on canbus, however main beam isn't. See helpful list below:
