  Update
Posted by: Rusty2009 - 3:rd-Apr-2022, 11:28:59 - Forum: Site updates - No Replies

Just to update users we are having issues with the emails not sending to some email providers at this time.

Others that do get them the Emails fall into the spam box.

We have just gained a static IP address from our ISP and have asked for reverse DNS (PTR) to be updated as this will resolve the email issue.

We are just awaiting to hear back from our ISP on this.

I would to take this opportunity to apologise for my lack of support over the last year this is due to personal reasons.

But as I say the forum you know and hopefully the speed is back.

WE have a few more bits to do so please don't worry if you can't log in at times while carry out these extra improvements.

Astra 1.6 CDTi Turbo Issues P2598
Posted by: shaky411 - 11:th-Sep-2021, 07:59:14 - Forum: Astra-J/GTC - Replies (1)

HI Everyone,

Hopefully someone here can help me? I have a 2015 Astra J 1.6CDTi. The engine management light came on a few weeks back after an hour or so driving and car went into low power mode. Managed to get the car home and after a night on the drive the power was back, engine light still on. Eventually the engine light went away but the same error came back a week or so later. Plugged in a cheap code reader and got P2598. Took the car to Vauxhall who said the turbo had failed and needed replacing.

Turbo replaced and the car was running great for a couple of weeks. Done a 4 hour drive and on way home, the old issues came back. Engine light and low power. Again, managed to nurse the car home with the power coming back intermittently. Code P2598 is back. Any ideas from someone here who has experienced similar?

Many Thanks

Marc

  Driver-side cubbyhole catch
Posted by: JonathanLondon - 6:th-Sep-2021, 19:18:19 - Forum: Interior How-to's - Replies (2)

Hi.  I've been a bit heavy handed and pulled the latch off the driver's side cubbyhole.  I can clip the latch back in to the door lid, but there's a black wire spring and I don't know where it goes.  I'm hoping someone has an exploded diagram of how it fits together.  Or details of how to remove the door if it's simple, so I can work out where the spring goes.  Many thanks.
