I've never seen that solder glue before
I can think of loads of stuff I could have used it for

My experience with it wasn’t that great as it takes an age to dry and I’m really impatient

It's used more in model railways.

Really I found it really good tested well still wet and even rebuilt & installed IPC in the car. No problems at all didn't wait for it to dry.

Removed them mate, just starting the dash facia now. You need a very small flat screwdriver for the vent surrounds as the plastic tabs on the back can break.

Cheers mate I’m going to add a plunger switch to it like the glovebox so it only comes on when you lift the armrest up

Quality job done on the LED's, tempted to get mine done a different colour as your's look rather smart.

Cheers matey, I think it’s for me trying to find the right balance between the two colours not too much one or the other. I wasn’t very good at it to start off with but the more I’ve done the easier I’ve found it.
You can’t really see how nice it looks from the pictures as they’re taken on my phone, you need a decent camera to pick the colours up in the dark

Getting there mate looks good.

I do like the idea of a light in the centr box, but I think I'd have the light nearer the top, as Ive currently got CD's in mine and the light would shine down onto them

I was a bit limited on where I could put it as it clashed with the 12v socket in the rear casing

correct me if i'm wrong but that light will be on now all the time the armrest is pulled forward regardless of the fact the lid is closed?

No mate, the switch is located on the back of the actual lid not the sliding part works great

Hi All, I’ve not posted in an absolute age. I’m writing this with a heavy heart that I sold my Astra GTC this week!!! After nearly 3 years of owning and modifying, I had just one too many DPF and glow plug problems. I’ve decided to go back to petrol and try another brand of car. I would like to thank all who have helped me over the last few years especially Rusty!! I personally think that these forums are a valuable source of information and not geeky as some people may think!!! Stay safe all!!!
Good luck with the future motors!

I highly recommend staying away from Renault & Peugot, they seem to enjoy being awkward for the sake of it, but that said, a good runner is a good runner.

I looked recently at replacing mines, but realised my next car I want currently costs £80k.... Nope.

Cheers mate, I don’t pick it up until Wednesday, I’m having a Mercedes C180 coupe AMG Sport, only a 1.6 turbo but plenty enough for me ??
The petrol 1.6 sports give a good oomph, you won't get bored of it any time soon. I drove a BMW 1.6sports for a while, found myself constantly putting it in economy mode though! Bloody thing on sports mode thought fuel was the same price as buckfast!

Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
I’ll let you know ??
Hopefully you enjoy the Merc, if not buy another Vauxhall and come back here.
