Hi all [SMILING FACE WITH SMILING EYES]

Anyone know how I can get this roof trim (plastic that runs the length of the car) back to black? Seems it has gone white from where wax got on it! I know there is some stuff called back to black but unsure if it would help!

My old focus had bump strips on the door that went like that. I used some stuff by autoglym but I've also heard things like peanut butter work

Hahahaha how random!! Okay... I'll see what autoglym have to offer! Do you know if it was named something obvious like trim restorer or something?

Never use back to black.

Sign up on detailingworld and have a read.

I personally use Megiaurs Endurance tyre dressing on my trims.
Oh right! And that would be good for any plastics thay have gone a funny colour?

May seem odd but a plain white pencil rubber works a treat!

Hmmm... I'd never have thought of that! Nice one! I'll dig one out later and try that and report back! [SMILING FACE WITH SMILING EYES]

Wow! That worked a treat!

That won't come back then will it? Because when I wet it it went away but then came back when it dried.

Thanks again!! [SMILING FACE WITH SMILING EYES]

don't put wax on black trim bits again haha
I would say rubber or nut oil... it just needs a thorough clean to get polish off

the car wash near me used old cooking oil on the black bits and on the tyres. it certainly lasts longer than the back to black stuff you buy from shops. just keep applying it in small amounts and buff it off

It's not my car, it's one I detailed for a mate. I'll let you know in a few weeks
Valetpro Dionysus Trim Glitz is very good.....just put it on sparingly cos its very sticky.

Lasts quite a while though between applications
