Hi guys, a while back car started making a whirring noise and vx came out with me and he said it was the engine discharging unused boost pressure. Since then it's been doing it an awfull lot.

I've had my J since mid-August. Haven't really had any issues until now. It's a 1.3 CDTI. I noticed a squeaking that was getting louder. I looked under the bonnet and it was one of the belts (not sure which) but it didn't quieten/get louder with acceleration. The squeaking has now died down and now I mainly hear a whirring from inside the car, as if the belt is struggling to go round. I have a 1.4 na with 40k on the clock, today on the way home it was  making this whirring type sound at a standstill , with a slight rev the sound will go, the sound seems to be coming from the drivers side of the engine bay, belt seems fine, steering is fine. Any ideas?
