Hey guys on my Astra gtc I am noticing that sometomes hen pull off sharply and when u turn the wheel left going in forward or reverse it can clunk also.

Now when I have had this in for service or MOT they have mentioned it to me but can never seem to tell me where it's coming from making me wonder if the usual aspects of front shock , top mounts etc are not the usual culprit here. Has anyone else had this issue?

Any ideas would be great thanks.

So when driving I rest my foot on the rest bar & every know and then I can feel the steering wheel through it (sounds daft but I genuinely can) the steering wheel also makes a weird sound occasionally like a piece of leather being twisted.

Only done this since a mate changed my oil filter by just jacking the car up & going in via driver side wheel.

Think he's knocked something?

Hi, I have a 2012 Astra Elite 2.0 CDTI auto which I've had for a month.

When releasing the brake after holding at traffic lights or stop start traffic etc, the car jumps forward as if it is late in engaging drive again.

I do have an Hatchback Astra J 2015 1.4NET with auto transmission. 

I did detected a flapping noise like as you are driving something stick on the tires or it sounds like there is some lines on the road and you are passing on them. 

I know it's a very low chance find this kind of a sound issue without hearing it but I'm out of ideas to tell to service to check.

Over the past couple of days I've noticed a horrible noise when turning my ignition off. It only lasts for a second our 2 but it's almost like a grinding noise.. sounds like it's coming from the drivers side of the engine bay but I could be wrong. Car is a 2.0 cdti.

Had my car sitting at work for 9 hours yesterday and when I started it I heard a 2 second ish rattle/squeek which I'm unaware of and this has never happened before. I turned the car off and on again but didn't hear it again. Around 10pm last night I had to move my car, so turned it on after it been sitting with no movement for 5 hours, cold engine but heard nothing. I have a 2012 registered Opel Astra. 57k kilometers. It has received an interim service every calendar year. When i am stationery and just beginning to take off or when i am driving very slowly(really slowly) i get a strange noise coming from the passenger side(either towards front wheel or towards back wheel). It like a squeaking noise.

Noise doesnt seem to be present when going faster.

If car in neutral & clutch pressed 1/4 way down the noise is loudest,

Hi, I’m new to the forum, never really had to ask for help as everything’s on here but I have a problem I can’t find an answer to. I have a 2010 2.0D Astra J that won’t start when it’s cold.
