Tyres for 18"
Ok so after talking with tucpal who said go for

225/40R18
Or
225/45R18 (better for speedmatch)

Now why is the 225/40R18 so much cheaper then the 45r18

I been on quick fit and i have read great reviews for arrowspeed at £72 each which is 225/40r18.
Yet if i want the 45r18 then im looking at 181 each for michelin :-/

I been using kwik fit for prices as they are mobile too at no extra cost.

Needing advise before i get my new alloys as could be more costly then I thought.

Tyres
Ended up buying new tyres at the end off last month as one of the front tyres ended up with a bulge in the wall. Took it to the local tyre place and they have given me both tyres back as they couldn't see any damage on the tyre.

As you can see it wasn't big but and now with the tyre off wheel there is no indication anything was there in the 1st place. Would you keep it as a spare or bin it?

Tyres
So im looking for a set of 4 245/35/20

Ive found nexen 8000 or the nankan ns2. they both have decent reviews and im just wondering has anyone else used them?

My other choice is the khuma tyres which have similar ratings but are £100 more for the set.

thanks

Accelera PHI tyres.
Is anyone running Accelera tyres on their Astra? if so what is your thoughts. Debating whether to have a punt at them. They seem very popular on the Insignia/alpha forums. Obviously certain tyres work better on other cars. I've currently got nexen HD on the front and they are very good so I'm certainly no tyre snob so no "buy the most expensive tyres" replies. Cheers

Which tyres should I have? Comments please....have a few choices
Hey folks,

I need new tyres, but always conscious about how they perform. Dont/cant break the bank, but at the same time need some decent rubber.

My choices are:
- Dunlop SP Sport 1, Part Worn with approx 5.5-6mm tread remaining - around £70 the pair fitted;
- Uniroyal Rainsport 2 - NEW - around £120 the pair fitted;
[size=small]- Nexen N 8000 - NEW - ar
