Hello fellow Astra J/GTC/VXR owners, never really had the time to properly introduce myself up until now but it's never to late lol. The names Gerald and I'm from the Powys area in Wales near Crickhowell in Abergavenny I work all over the Midlands and across the UK, previously bought an Astra J 5-door (had to be practical for the other half) SRi from a garage based in Cardiff, within the first week of owning it I had problems with having dead spots and service lights coming on which lead to havi

So yesterday on my run to the Port I had to relieve myself so Stopped at the services went in and used to toilet.

Came back started the car no problems at all it ran for 2-3 seconds then cut out only message to pop up was to press clutch to start.

Tried a few time and nothing every time I turned the key all the lights went out on the dash in the end I had to take the key out and then it was all ok.

Anybody any ideas or had it happen to them?

Sold it last June to garage then went to auction then a garage in Newcastle had it last I believe

Sold with black wheels on the spoiler was still on and so was the skirts I believe

Would be good to know how she’s getting along

For the 2nd time now I have encountered the same issue.
My car doesn't get used much for long trips nowadays but I encountered this problem on his last long trip a week ago and one month ago:

Car driving fine, full power no error messages.
Suddenly no power when pushing gas pedal, car begins to stutter instead. But still runs in idle. Engine light comes on.
This problem gets worse over the next seconds until the car runs so rough in idle it stalls.

My Vauxhall Astra J 1.7cdti, Hatchback, 5 Door, 2011 61Reg.

My Diesel Fuel Gauge is was showing few days a Low in fuel and then after a bit showing half tank and then again low fuel.

However on the same day in the evening i just filled in £20 worth of fuel just to be on the safe side, but since then i have driven 1.5 miles, but not noticed the error of the low fuel.

What could it be is it the Pump, Float Valve or the Sender Unit ?
