Vauxhall have issued an update for the ECU for all 2.0 CDTI 160/165Ps with Stop/Start.

There has been reports that this is stopping the DTUK RED BOX working correctly, DTUK are aware of this and have worked on a fix for it although the fix might not work for all at this time.

Has anybody else had issues with their SS where it doesn't kick in?

Mine seems to only be working as and when it wants to with no obvious pattern.

I have no warning lights and as far as I can tell there should be no reason for it not to work as intended.

Just has my battery tested as that's the only thing I can think which I'd causing the problem. Came up saying replace on the test machine.

I have a 2012 astra gtc with 27000 miles. My service light is on however i do not need one as it has just been serviced however when the light is on my start stop wont work it just doesn't do it and my wipers will only work on the last highest settings thats it (my back one works fine) however the light in the past has turned off for the odd minute or 2 and everything works fine then but it comes back and they don't work again. Hi guys..... sorry if this as been asked but I have searched but to no avail.

I have a gtc 2.0 cdti Sri with start / stop..... my question is =

Is it more economical to use the start stop or just let the engine tick over ? I know it has been designed to have start / stop but surely it isn't very good for the engine mounts / glow plugs and everything else really keep stopping and starting ..... I know it may sound a bunch of stupid questions but it's more curiosity

As above, on an Astra-J 2.0 CDTI, what would cause the stop/start to not work? I have seen 3 now, which have stop/start but it hasnt worked on the test drive, evernthough the car is warm and performs as it should?

I have a 2013 Astra Tourer Auto 2.0 CDTI SRI which I'm very fond of and have owned since Sept 2016.
It's been faultless in the time I've owned it, and has done about 54000 miles, normally goes very well, and has full Vauxhall history.

Today, however after an 8 mile drive at fairly low speeds it broke down.

I have a 62 plate astra J 2.0 CDTI.

I have noticed a few things and wondering of could shed some light on things to check.

1) my rev needle is sitting at 500 revs (not sure if that is low and then at times it fluctuates.

2) when driving and trying to set off it just doesn't seem to have the same power. It's intermittent but at times the power just don't feel there
