More members set to benefit from Chris Knott service...

Hi,

Insurers have relaxed their rules under our car clubs and enthusiasts offering which means we should be able to help more of you get a better car insurance deal.

We'll still be applying common sense to our quotes but there'll no longer be hard and fast minimum driver age restrictions on models. Instead we'll be assessing risks on a case by case basis - looking for relevant driver and vehicle experience.

Technical Service Bulletin 3141 ECU update
Hi folks, new to the forum. I have an Astra GTC SRI 1.4 with an engine warning light issue.
My garage told me that after consulting their Technical Information Supplier with the fault codes, that it needed an ECU update in response to Technical Service Bulletin 3141.
I've just taken it into Vauxhall Wakefield and their service team have done 'an' update, but have never heard of Technical Service Bulletin 3141, so won't confirm whether or not it has fixed the warning light issue.

Service Bulletin
Hello Everyone,

Today I left my car for regular service and they informed me that there is a Field action waiting to be applied. Service guys told me nothing to worry it is just a minor software update. However when I ask "update for what?" The answer is a bit scary in the description it says "Family 0 Engines - Ring Lands, Piston" Later I got home open the GM Infotech and find bulletin. Release date is 2019-04-06 it seems this one is a pretty new one...

service vehicle soon
Just been out to my car this morning and the service vehicle soon message came on and vehicle went into limp mode. tried half an hour later and same thing. this afternoon i was going to take it to local garage and see what they said but used spare key this time as was going to leave car with them and service vehicle soon came on then went off and car drove as normal. I have noticed my keyfob has been acting up recently and was wondering if low battery in keyfob could cause SVS.

'Service Vehicle Soon' on display
Can anyone give me some advice on this please?

I've had this 1.6 CDTI 2014 for 4 years (67K), always done my own servicing, including resetting oil service life indicator, but never had this 'Service Vehicle Soon' warning come up on the Multi-Function Display before, a horizontal spanner in the middle of the image of a car.   Admittedly the service was delayed and quite late this year due to Covid.

I have had issues with the Intake Air Temperature sensor of recent triggering an engine MI

Service vehicle soon???
Hi chaps,
Im looking for a bit of help here please...

I own a 2014 GTC 1,4 sri which developed a fault last week. Was overtaking and suddenly there was a loss of power limp mode and got the 'service vehicle soon' light show up. So drove car straight to the garage to be checked out. Fault codes P0229 (boost pressure) and C055C (steering box power performance failed) the outcome was turbo had blown due to oil being too thick as i hadn't had it changed for a while so i thought yer fair enough.
