Well I thought it best I start this thread since I am planning on doing some investigation into how to improve MPG and performance.
I have a 1.4t Auto GTC

Now I have this car for the long hall so I will be taking my time and working on different combinations to see what works best.
My car is was only getting 27.2 over the first 3 weeks of owning the car. I have added some RedEx to a full tank and now I am getting 31 average.

I've never done one before but I thought I'd start a progress thread for my new GTC.
Progress will be slow going but I will update as I go along.
My first mod/upgrade is to fit new front and rear mats. I purchased a set of these from eBay and they arrived this morning.

Hi guys,
I've been about for a few months now and commented on stuff here and there but want to make my own progress thread so I can document the stuff I will be doing to my car. I've not got a great deal of money at the moment so can't afford anything major but will be making some mods to my car and posting them here in the hope that it helps some other people along the way.

For some reason, that I don´t understand, my GTC was from factory not ordered with factory LED rear lamps despite having front LED DRL and AFL light.
I had to rectify that mistake. Price from dealer was 850£ + 70£ wiring. I managed to get it all for 450£ with wiring as my workplace imports Valeo parts from France.
I also bought HappyBlue OBD module so I can make rearlights and numberplate light not to be shown with bulb warnings in the display. With HappyBlue module you can also alter alot

First thing was the sill protectors, cost me about £11 from amazon or ebay can't remember, look good and do the job! Also hide some nasty scratches that were there when I got the car
