Waxing new paint
Well today I went to the Meguiars seminar.

We were told that if you go to a body shop or a paint a part yourself you should not wax it for 60-90 days, this allows the paint to harden properly. If you do wax before the 60-90 days the paint will be soft.

They said you can polish fresh paint.

New LED DRL's showing numerous faults
I have fitted (as per Tucpal's 'How to LED DRL error free' guide) but I am having a headache with faults that have thrown up. I have installed the resistors, wiring and Scotchlok clips and LED bulbs correctly. Firstly, the left DRL will light intermittlently but it will light on the sidelight OK.

And now the following faults show intermittently:

Check left dipped beam lamp
Check right dipped beam lamp

Check left Daylight running lamp
Check right Daylight running lamp

New SRI 165BHP owner
Hi all,

I cant help but feel that the previous owner of my car would have been on these forums as when i went to look at it today for the first time since putting a deposit down, it had tinted windows, alloy pins and

New car Astra SRi detail
Well as most of you know my new company car arrived. As it was driven from the dealership in Norwich it arrived with 175 miles on the clock. Within a few days I started the prep work for the forthcoming detail.

First up was to foam the car & give it a wash with Farecla G3 Body Prep shampoo. Then it was dried off with the awesome Big Yellow drying towel.
