A little story - a laught at my expense
I got the finance paper work through for Doris a while ago , didn't really pay much attention to it as all I was interested in was the monthly payment being inside my budget - Mistake N01
Doris was up for 10,495 but reduced on a "Managers Special" to 8,495 - Mistake N02

I put down an 850 deposit which would leave 7,645 to pay under finance for 4 years leaving a 1,760 outstanding balance

So on checking the paperwork - Mistake N03

Value of Car -             7,645
plus VAT -

A few questions about my Astra
Just a few things I couldn't find the answers to to get me started with modding.

1) How do I go about removing the front and rear badges for painting. I've learned to get the front grill off its a bumper off job but can I remove just the chrome badge? Also the rear one which is the boot release button.

2) VXR fog surrounds. Have seen the VXR has the silver panels around the fogs. Never had a close look but are these panels that can be added on or part of the bumper. I'd like to paint som

Tuning Box : Against every fibre in my body..
With every car I've owned, I've always had it remapped live (ones that can be) on a rolling road as it can be tailored to suit my needs per vehicle whether it be for performance, economy etc.. and I've always thought (and still fairly certain) you will get better results from a live/custom map and certainly if you have various mods/alterations. I have always been a firm believer of a 'real custom' map for a vehicle and have to admit, have frowned upon people who have a box and tried to preach to

I don't need anything fast but here is mine so far,

1st thing on the cards was a full 3stage paint correction as the bodywork was hurrendoues lol
2nd was doing my wing mirrors gloss black wrap(the roof is getting done in the next week or two
3rd was getting my lights tinted so that has now been done plus they have been flatted and polished

Did my car just have a brain Fart
Got into my car (Astra 2.0 CDTI Auto) to drive to the shop on my lunch, when I turn the car on nitove the AC fans went to full blast like I'd pressed the auto button, but I hadn't. I drove up the steepish hill out of my work exit, pulled out the junction and the engine just died, no power loss dials etc were still on but the engine just stopped, and Serveic vehicle soon message appeared on the dash. I know this generally indicates a fault, so I turned the ignition off and back on the car started

My fault codes
Thanks Rusty, op-com bought and plugged in... but these are my codes:

Most pressing is the top but suspect dodgy glow plug based on it just being serviced.

Any ideas about the rest?

My new second car, non Vauxhall, but, British
I was previously running a 2010 Smart fortwo as my second vehicle, which helped keep some of my 30K mileage a year off of the Astra

However, soon after buying the Smart it became obvious it was lemon in the automated manual gearbox department........

6 break downs, all gearbox related, one new clutch actuator later and yet still the same issues persisted.........

Car has been rejected by me back to the supplying garage via the finance company, which is proving to be a long, drawn out an
