Website to monitor fuel usage/ mpg
I have just posted this in a posting on the forum but thought it might be useful to stick it here too:
A year or so ago, a friend introduced me to
http://www.fuelly.com which is free to join. It tracks your mpg to put it simple. Basically when you fill up, on your receipt will be how much you spent, price per litre and how many litres you filled up with. Each time you fill up, reset your trip meter and go to the fuelly website with how much you filled up with etc and it works out your fuel
What's your MPG
So just recently, well since last fill up which was the 9/05, I've set myself a driving challenge of driving as economical as I can.
When I last did this in my Focus it was OK, but nothing fantastic however the Astra has truly surprised me. I do a mixture of town and motorway mileage so thought this would be a good test.
To say I'm impressed with what I'm getting is an understatement, especially considering I drive the 2.0 165bhp!

My mpg
Finally started driving my 1.7cdti with a lighter foot.
Massive difference in fuel.
176 miles off 18ltrs gave me 45mpg
Recently using a heavy foot been getting 35-38
Been using the shift indicator that pops up to change up and tried keeping revs at 2k or less and spent only £20 in a week using it daily
What's others getting?

MPG problems
So I have a 1.4 turbo auto (I know its an auto but I need one) which I have had for 3 weeks now. I didn't pay attention to the MPG for the first week as it was the fuel that came with the car so once I filled up a week later and reset the average mpg.
So I have driven it for 2 weeks and used a tank of fuel and done about 250 - 300 miles and the computer is telling me I am getting 27.5 mpg which I think is rather low. Now I do 20 mins to work in the morning 10 mins above 40 and 10 mins start s
MPG Confusion
So I was speaking to some car friends last night and though it rather amusing that yes they know a lot about cars and how to modify them and what helps compliment each upgrade ect ect but when it came to MPG they totally got it wrong.
So talk started as it always did with them talk about 'claimed' figures ect and future plans for the cars then the time came for me to let them know what's happening with my car and I got the normal about driving an auto and it only being a 1.4 turbo. So with my

2013 Astra j elite 2.0 mpg
Hi guys
Not long had my Astra j elite 2.0 ecoflex as I had a 1.6tdci fiesta before.
What mpg are people getting?
I'm currently driving like a granny. Have never driven so sensible in my life yet only getting 34mpg on a 20mile to work and 20 mile back from work journey. Mostly all long straight roads not stop start.
A full tank says I'll get 450 but have already done a quarter tank and only done 80 or so.

MPG really low
Hi, I have a 1.6 auto SRi and the avergage MPG doesn't get any higher than 22 which is really low. Driving it as efficiently as I possibly can.
Can something else be wrong?

Dissapointed with 2.0cdti mpg
So I've had my astra sports toured a week and I'm pretty pleased with everything except the fuel economy im averaging about 42-44 mpg and thats in eco mode driving sensibly. My old car I traded in was a 09 vectra 1.9diesel and it averaged 49ish.
I thought with this being a newer car ( 2015 with 22k on.) I'd at least get something similar to the vectra.
So for those who've a standard 2.0 what you getting mpg wise.
