Hi it is good to see the new forum up and running. It is looking fresh and tidy, Rusty and Tucpal have done a very good job and must have been burning the candle at both ends lately.

Hi guys I have a Astra 2.0 cdti 14 plate and recently it has started making a lot of noise when completely cold on startup but only then. After it’s been started it doesn’t do it at all. I’ve had cam belt don’t and water pump done when I bought the car 6months. Not sure if it’s chain or belt on these and if the tensioner could be at fault or possibly dual mass maybe ?? Any ideas thanks

Just joined the group after owning a few Vauxhalls over the years.
first car 1.3 sr nova, 1.6 cavilier, 2.0 130 SRI etc.
I have now got myself an Astra, which i really enjoy driving, 
I`ve been doing some research and i think it is the last one of its model to be produced before moving onto the new shape in 2017
