I've been looking for good Astra dedicated forum, and I finally found one.

I'm also a new Astra J owner (ex 6 years I owned Astra H 1.7 74kw), 1.6 CDTI (100 kW). Since I'm from Croatia, my English probably won't be 100% correct, and SW will stay on left side

Got a chance to buy the Astra J VXR flat bottom steering wheel and VXR gear know complete with gaiter and surround

He's after £180 collected I'm offering £200 posted.

This is a bargain right? And are they easy to fit? And will they be much difference compared to what I have now? Which is just the standard SRi ones.

Are 5 door astras built better or the same as gtc.s?

The reason i ask is,  i hear odd moan about the astra j,s  build quality but I hear loads moaning about the quality of the gtc and astra estate mostly about paint quality , am I right in thinking the gtc and estate are built in poland,

Got into my car (Astra 2.0 CDTI Auto) to drive to the shop on my lunch, when I turn the car on nitove the AC fans went to full blast like I'd pressed the auto button, but I hadn't. I drove up the steepish hill out of my work exit, pulled out the junction and the engine just died, no power loss dials etc were still on but the engine just stopped, and Serveic vehicle soon message appeared on the dash. I know this generally indicates a fault, so I turned the ignition off and back on the car started

I have owned my astra J vxr for about 18 months and my VX220 for ten years 

So it's about time I made a few changes to the vxr and I found this site whilst searching for info regarding swapping to full leather vxr seats.

I already have the seats and switch panel, fuse 21 was already in the boot fuse box so hopefully will get them swapped over this weekend

My car being a 2011 meriva, uses Tech 2 for diagnostics, it's not on GDS2 untill the 2014 model year, but not on the Tech2's onboard SPS list,  so i have to SPS from my netbook with GlobalTis 32b on it, using the Tech2 - J2534 passthru mode. 

But i've so far bought an IPC, a TIM and a PDC module (and a rain sensor.. but i know that's not vin matched) all were just removed from vehicles, not divorced, and when first connected they say 'mismatched vins'

But i just do a 'configure and set up'
