I've owned my 63 plate 2.0cdti elite auto for around a year now, this being my 4th J.
Anyway for around a year now this one has suffered from a very intermittent starting prob.
I went to start the car today, as you do. Just before setting off to work. Sat in my car, gearstick within the parked position (being an auto), turned ignition key on to start it, nothing. Hi all new to here bought my first Astra 3monthd ago it's an Astra j 1.6 cdti ecoflex 136ps. The problem I am having is an intermittent loud rattleing noise on startup. It sounds like it's coming from the throttle body/egr area. Sometimes rattle clears after a few seconds sometimes stays if you turn the car off and restart the rattle is gone seems like something is sticking if that makes sense. I have no eml lights on. Also got an intermittent slight rough idle as well not shore if the problems

Hi all
My passenger window has developed a fault on my GTC, sometimes it will work and sometimes it won't. It's the same with both door buttons but seems ok closing and opening from the key. When it does work the one touch closing wont work but it's all ok drivers side.
Any ideas before I shell out cash at the dealers?

Monday night car suddenly started alarming(audio only no light) ,  I opened shut door started engine etc, and all cleared fora hour or so, then it alamed about 7 or 8 times going off every 10-20 mins,.
Called AA they looked plugged in compuer as saws some alrms , but couldnt be sure of cause although did suspect power sounde battery.

I’m experiencing a strange fault/ feeling with my 1.7 Cdti Astra.
At times it feels like the engine is a bit flat and other times it’s normal, I have also noticed a very slight hesitation under normal acceleration. It sometimes feels like a non turbo engine. No apparent leaks on the pipework and no engine management light on. Has anyone had any experience of similar issues, I’m thinking either the turbo’s on its way out or the boost pressure sensor

Hi. The car is a 2010 1.6 Petrol Exclusiv 113 - 64000 miles. From cold it runs perfectly but after a few miles it is intermittently loses power under load  - going uphill or accelerating hardish. It feels more like a general reduction of power than loss of individual cylinder(s) but I'm not sure on that. No codes are displayed while the fault is occurring and there are none stored, according to my local garage. I've read elsewhere on the forum of similar problems resolved by a fuel filter change
