Hello all
Hi all...

Just a quick introduction from your new member.

My forum username is Ripple but my real name is Giles (you can understand why i don't use my real name) and I've just parted with a lump of cash for my first "owned by me" car in about 15 years. Got rid of my company van when i changed jobs and went on the trawl for something that i liked the look of and that was reasonably economical as i do a 50 mile round trip commute to and from work each day.

I saw this red GTC in a local ga

Hello from Stoke
Hi all,

I put a deposit down on a 2013 1.4 petrol GTC over the weekend, hopefully picking it up this Friday! I'm going from a 3.5L Nissan 350z so it's quite a change, it's also yellow whereas my previous two cars have been more subtle shades of silver . I assume there's a more interesting name for the particular (pale) shade of yellow so if anyone's able to satisfy my curiosity it'd be much appreciated .

Went to see it/test drive and purchased on the same day. I'm not the impulsive sor

Hello from Lancashire
Hi,
I'm not yet an Astra owner (although my wife's picking her Astra K up today), but I'm on the lookout for a good deal on an Astra J.

I've registered on here to see what I need to look for when looking at cars, so hope to learn plenty

Hello
Good morning, Gerry here in Glasgow. Despite being 53 I picked up what is only my 2nd car, yesterday, (only took and passed my test Dec 14). It's a red 63 plate, Astra J GTC 1.4, absolutely delighted. I'll be looking to put in a new head unit with Bluetooth and navigation at some point, and have seen some very useful and interesting threads on vxoc, on the subject.
Cheers
Gerry

Hello
Hello there, thanks for letting me join your forum.
I am once again a Vauxhall owner after nearly 20 years of VWs.
My last Vauxhall was an 1986 D Cavalier which I owned around 1994/1995. Although a great car to drive, it was falling to bits with rust at only 8 years old !
After saying I would never have another Vauxhall, I've eaten my words and am now the proud owner of an Astra 2.0 CDTI Auto Tourer.
I've got to say I'm impressed with how much the quality of Vauxhalls has improved.

Hello
Hi, I've just bought myself an Astra J, it's a 61 plate Sports Tourer (or estate to most people) Sri, with the upgraded Navi600 unit fitted.
This is not my first astra, I had a Mk1 and an Opel Kadett D (same as Mk1) but that was a loooong time ago, and it seems things have changed a bit.
I've been having a bit of a look around over the last couple of days, and will be making use of the technical areas and probably ask a lot of daft questions.
I'm based in North Devon, but get around to other
