So my MOT is 12th Feb & I'm 99% sure my front brakes will fail as the steering wheel shakes on hard braking leading me to believe it's a warped disk.

I could get front disks and pass from EuroCarParts for £77 Odd (Just budget Eicher brand)

Then fit them myself.


Anyone recommend anywhere else to buy them? I wonder what Vauxhall direct would charge?

I have been looking around this past few weeks into options for remapping my cdti 2.0, which is a 2013 165 s/s

Superchips haven't responded to my message, they have the 2011 gtc 165 listed, but not the j hatch

Quantum seemed expensive at around £480

DTUK (not a remap) could only advise that it may have a 60% chance of working with my car

On another forum someone mentioned a member (Steve) I think who offered a remap service, he appears to not read/open his PM's

Right so i took my car to get sprayed a week or so ago and i can see some small bits of paint where he must not of wiped it when wet etc, and not its stuck on my car dry.

People are saying for me to clay it off. So I've bought the G3 clay mitt from halfords. 

But i was just wondering, if it will take the black excess paint off, how come it wont take off any other paint from the car?

Anyone wanting show plates for PVS this year needs to let me know at the latest May 15th, the plates I've just ordered were £14 collected (Newcastle) or £17 delivered.

Please comment the name you'd like on the plates.

Since there is a few of us travelling from Newcastle and up North we are looking into booking a hotel for PVS, probably around Peterborough.

It's around 30mile from Santa Pod so would be leaving the hotel around about 5.30-6.00am to give us plenty of time.

Is there anyone else coming who would like to join us staying at a hotel?

Have seen the below post with regards to power for dashcam but i am looking to wire into the fuse box. This was relatively easy on my Corsa D i just tapped into the heated seats that the car did not have and i got power. With the Astra i have found that i either can only find constant lives or dead feeds. I am wanting to tap into a power source that is live when the car is on accessory but when i have tried tapping the 12v socket at the front it will not power anything unless it is

Okay.. I'm aware this is going to vary hugely depending on your experiences, areas etc. But as I've voided pretty much every warranty on my car now I though I'd start to look around elsewhere for my yearly services (vauxhall current do mine and I'm in that service club as 20 something a month).

So.. What companies would folks suggests for services, Mot's etc? Bearing in mind I would trust my local SMALL garages with my cup of coffee let alone my car!
