[Image: http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w301/...5fce57.jpg]

as there have been loads of reports
of the clutch peddle squeaking when you press it down
and this is a very simply fix
all you really need to fix this is
too add a good amount of grease
to the top of the clutch peddle
in the position marked in the picture

Clicking clutch and squeaky drivers door
I looked through the other threads and couldn't see anything in relation to this other than the squeaky clutch.
My clutch when it's engaged clicks near the top of the decompression. So basically you press it slightly and then it clicks once as you press it down fully.

The door squeaks, it doesn't rattle, it squeaks when the the road is slightly bumpy and I can't pin point it for the life of me, I pressed/hit every part of the door card and it wouldn't stop, any ideas?

Clicking clutch
Every time I decompress the clutch, it makes a noticeable clicking sound as if it's metal on metal. You can feel in as you press it and hear it too. It happens just at the start of the decompression too.

Anyone know if a bit of grease will sort it or is it an underlying thing that a mechanic needs to look at?

Clutch
There was a recall on the clutch with engine code A20 DTH found in the 2.0cdti Astra and other models.if your car is less than 8 years old from the time the buttlin was issued I believe your car is untitled to it for free,if you have the following issues, load reversals knocking. When u accelerate in any gear at any speed then lift off there is a slight knock? On and off accelerate and listen for knocking.best to get the dual mass flywheel done aswel but you must pay for the dmf.

Clutch adjustment/grinding gears
Hi,

I've recently bought a 1.4t astra J. To me the clutch bite is way too low. I find myself trying to get through gears rapidly and grinding gears, especially 1st into 2nd. With the nature of the engine, it needs to be reved, but I find myself nervous of moving through the gears too much.

It may well be me, and the way I drive, but the clutch bites and disengages within the bottom inch of travel. Is this normal? Can it be adjusted at all?

Thanks,
Ben

Can't get in gear - clutch problem?
Howdy!  Got in the car last night and it would not go into gear (meant I had to run to the football instead!).  Can stick it in gear when the engine isn't running.  If I put it in gear before starting, I can't get out of that gear.  I'm assuming this is a clutch problem, but I haven't noticed any indication of a problem developing.  I drove it for about 80 miles the previous night.  I have, however, been intermittently getting a Service ESP warning on the dash for the past week or two.  It's obv
