Can anybody recommend a company in south Manchester/Cheshire area to paint my brake calliper's ?

Against the advice of most of you on here I decided to fit a DTUK box to my 2.0 cdti Sri j and was working fine for a few hours then as expected the dashboard imitated a Christmas tree, service vehicle soon was showing intermittently and was going into limp mode with no engine light showing though, removed the box then had it do the same service vehicle soon warning and limp mode about 3-4 times kept stopping and starting the car and then it seemed to be all ok, drove the car for the first time

I think the dust cover behind one of my discs is rattling. When ever I go down a rough road there is a very annoying rattle, it also rattles when I kick the tyre.

Does anyone know the best way to stop this?

I've had my front brake pads changed by Vauxhall last week. I collected it on Monday following my holiday and I've only covered 26 miles since I collected it, however I coming off the duel carriageway today I noticed that they are still squealing. I'm not sure whether this is right or not? I know they need time to bed in but surely they shouldn't squeal?

This is what my discs look like at the minute... Obviously the pads are still bedding in

I'm new in here so bear with me lol

I am a owner of Vauxhall Astra J diesel on a 60 plate and I can't use my electric handbrake I have been down to the mechanics they plugged a computer on and I got the parking brake switch replaced bought a new one from dealers and it still has the same problem all it says on the car's on board computer is SERVICE PARKING BRAKE.

Issue has been going on for a little while now so I wanted to know if you guys have a clue what it might be.

Just a query those of you with a diesel astra j (mine is a 2.0 auto) have you noticed brake pedal creep where if you sit with the engine running - press the pedal down hard and constantly - do you find slowly the pedal drops to the floor?

I have heard all about vacuum depletion of diesels but as I have never seen this before I was wondering if this was a common characteristic of these cars or I have a servo/ master cylinder problem

I recently purchased a 2010 Astra J 1.4 Turbo.
 Despite the vehicle being purchased from a dealership owned by my cousin, I have had nothing but trouble since.
The latest of a long list is that I had the front discs and pads replaced last weekend (despite later finding out they didn’t need doing in the first place). This may seem like a stupid question. I just managed to source a center console with armrest however didnt come with the gaiter. Would the gaiter from the standard console be the same as the armrest version or do I need to source a new gaiter for it?

I cant check it myself at the moment as my car is at the repair shop from a truck hitting my car when it was parked.
