Astra J. Can a tyre valve be replaced without replacing the TPMS?
I have an Astra J hatchback, 2015 reg, I think it is “pre facelift” but not sure.
It has slow punctures on both off side wheels

My tyre garage (Formula 1 Autos) told me that air is leaking from between the valve body and the alloy wheel seat.
They say that if I can get hold of replacement valves they will replace them. They say that this will not involve disturbing the TPMS.

Are they correct?
Is the TPMS separate from the valve on this car? All I can find are combined TPMS and valve

Astra J 1.6 A16XER (115 hp) 2010 Outer Belt (and perhaps Timing Belt, too
So 77 000 km behind and 10 years, outer and timing belt not yet changed. Heard that when changing outer belt you have to release the tensioner by taking the right inner wing away etc. Is it so? Any tips. Perhaps time to do timing belt, too? Is it normal job (done V6 several times so basically I can do it but never touched 1.6). What is timing belt change interval? How about water pump? Recommendation for kits?

Astra J 1.4T Overheating
Hi all looking for advice

My Astra has recently started having overheating problems, Its had a new Thermostat and the waterpump has been removed and checked and is functioning correctly but it still seems to overheat, It'll sit happily on 90 during idle but after 3-5 minutes of driving it'll overheat and creep upto the 110-130 mark and advise the engine has overheated and to idle the engine. I was wondering if anyone else has had an issue like this and what my next steps should be?

Astra GTC Horn issue
Hi Everyone

Sorry if this is posted in the wrong folder but I could really do with some advice about the horn on my 2016 GTC. Over the winter it started to work intermittently and, as it is getting worse (sometimes it works but mostly not) with an upcoming MOT in November I have decided to replace it. I have managed to get a replacement horn unit from ebay complete with mounting bracket. I have a copy of the GTC manual which seems to indicate that I need to remove the front bumper unit to get

Astra 1.7 CDTI fuel quality problem
Hey guys, I am a new user of a used Astra 1.7 CDTI 2011 and I've been told by some people around that this car is very sensitive to fuel quality.
Now the problem is that in my country fuel quality is the worst, there's absolutely no assurance of the quality no matter where you try to get the fuel around here, and chances are that the kind of diesel we have is just slightly better than the one your country uses only for agricultural vehicles.
Is there anything I can do to make it less of a prob

How to remove sun visor Astra J GTC.
Hello, does anybody know how to remove the sun visor on an Astra J GTC.

I have taken the cap off, have removed the 3 screws, but I'm not able to get the sun visor out, it doesn't just pull out.

There seems to be clips of some sort holding it in?

Thanks.
