opel astra j keyless entry and remote start stop
Hello All,

At below video, I tried to explain how the remote start/stop system, that I bought and installed, works on my car.  Also, I tried to show how the kick sensing system on the tailgate lift. This kick sensing system has been done by myself.

Hunting on Idle and Various Error Codes
Hi all, my Astra J is hunting on idle and has various error codes being displayed. I thought the hunting might be the SCV but the fuel consumption at idle doesn't match the other posts on this issue:

I have the SVS error message and these are the codes that were pulled:

P037E - Glow Plug Module Feedback Low Voltage
B1517 - Battery Voltage
U0164 - Lost Communication With HVAC

For the 2nd time now I have encountered the same issue.
My car doesn't get used much for long trips nowadays but I encountered this problem on his last long trip a week ago and one month ago:

Car driving fine, full power no error messages.
Suddenly no power when pushing gas pedal, car begins to stutter instead. But still runs in idle. Engine light comes on.
This problem gets worse over the next seconds until the car runs so rough in idle it stalls.

P0171 error and ESC light on
Hi All,

Been a long time since I've been on here . But looking for some advice if possible.

Cut a long story short about a month ago I had performance issues with my Astra J 1.6 2010 with it having dead spots in acceleration and occasionally cutting out when idle. Hooked it up to an simple OBD reader and errors all pointing to a faulty O2 sensor bank 1. So I purchased a replacement from euro car spares (no Bosch in stock at the time but the next one that was recommended was a FAE branded

Uneven idle and hunting on initial start up
Hi

I'm posting this video incase anyone can help. I'm at my whitsend with this car 2011 cdti manual A20DTH. Argh well can't upload video, but when I start the car from cold any time of day or outside temperature it  hunts like a misfire, once it's warm it's as smooth as anything, there is also a faint whiff of diesel, like unburned, sweetish smell when it first starts.

Any ideas?

CD400 usb and aux not responding
Hello guys, I recently bought this car, I had a previous Astra J GTC and I could listen to my music through aux just fine. On this one neither of usb and aux are working, I plug my cable but when I press Aux nothing happens, Bluetooth works just with calls. What should I do?

Navi 500 with dab and bluetooth modules

Threaded Mode Diesel Fuel guage erratic low fuel and then half tank
Hi Guys
My Vauxhall Astra J 1.7cdti, Hatchback, 5 Door, 2011 61Reg.

My Diesel Fuel Gauge is was showing few days a Low in fuel and then after a bit showing half tank and then again low fuel.

However on the same day in the evening i just filled in £20 worth of fuel just to be on the safe side, but since then i have driven 1.5 miles, but not noticed the error of the low fuel.

What could it be is it the Pump, Float Valve or the Sender Unit ?

Oil Temp and pressure sensor
Hi, i just activate menus on IPC for oil temp and pressure, boost pressure.. anyone have this working on Astra J? It is maybe possible to retrofit some sensors for Oil temp and maybe transsmision oil temp? I think this will be usefull..

Brake discs and pads
Hello, I am from the UK and have recently tried to change my pads and discs. But the discs i bought wasn't the right size. I have a astra gtc 1.4L 62 plate

I bought them from GSF, put in my reg on the website and these came up https://www.gsfcarparts.com/za021337 . but like I said they didn't fit.

I have 18 inch wheels. can anybody help me find the right ones please?
