Should I buy an Astra J?
Hi, I am thinking about buying an Astra J Sri 1.6T or go for the 2.0 Diesel, deep down it will probably be the 1.6T. At the moment I have an Astra H VXR, but seeing as my girlfriend has older parents, I think it would be better all round to buy a 5 door car. Watching them get into and out the rear of the car was a pretty challenge for them. I have had an Insignia 2.0 Turbo before, but found that too big for my driveway (much bigger bum). So I think an Astra J would be my next choice, I would pro

spare wheel for an astra
read somewhere ages ago that if you have an astra with 17inch wheels then you are better off buying the 16 inch spare wheel as the 17inch wheels abit too big for the well, does that make sence, sounds weird to me, what spare wheel does the astra 18inch wheels have if that is true

Looking to buy an Astra-J, after some genuine owner advice.
Hi folks,

I currently own a Vauxhall Insignia and a Vauxhall Vectra 1.9 CDTI Elite 150 which the wife drives. Im pretty active on Vectra and Insignia forums.

Anyway, Im starting to look into changing the Vectra we have, which is the 1.9 CDTI Elite 150 (2008 variant). She had an Astra-H prior to this and we upgraded to this about 2.5 years ago as we needed a bigger boot for my sons buggy, but he is out of that so we are looking to downgrade again to a smaller boot. Being Vauxhall through and th

Insignia hubs on an astra
Hi all,

Not sure if its possible, but would the insignia's hub bearing + break disks fit on the astra's hub & driveshafts, and would I also need the caliper's of the insignia as well?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/381178682477 does look like its the same 3 bolt fitment onto the hub.

I ask as alloys I am after are in 5x120, but with PCD adapters would stick too far out the arch.

Cheers Smile

So I got an Astra J 63plate 2.0cdti Ecoflex s/s elite
As above I have just got an ice white astra which i upgraded from a 1.4 08 astra and I'm in love however I'm just wondering am I stuck in terms of upgrading the speed of this car due to it being a 63 plate and being s/s? I mean I'm in no hurry due to only just getting the car im just wondering what my options will be when the time comes. Am I stuck to just a pedal box or are there any alternatives?

From an Astra, to a Corsa, and back to an Astra?
I've been on here for quite a while now having owned a 2013 Astra last year. It was my first car and although I liked it, I couldn't justify the insurance once I passed my test Thud  Fast forward to March and I sold it for a brand new Corsa Limited Edition. The downside being in the time that I have owned it I've had to take it back for peeling paint, seats ripping and constant error messages. The fit and finish compared to the Astra is really quite poor. Upside is the insurance is almost half
