Astra J. Can a tyre valve be replaced without replacing the TPMS?
I have an Astra J hatchback, 2015 reg, I think it is “pre facelift” but not sure.
It has slow punctures on both off side wheels

My tyre garage (Formula 1 Autos) told me that air is leaking from between the valve body and the alloy wheel seat.
They say that if I can get hold of replacement valves they will replace them. They say that this will not involve disturbing the TPMS.

Are they correct?
Is the TPMS separate from the valve on this car? All I can find are combined TPMS and valve

Got me a new workshop space!
So this has been a long time in planning, but on Friday I finally received the keys to my new house Smile

As part of the purchase, it actually came with the site sales office as a double garage giving me some near 50sqm on workshop space (approximately 7mx7m in size).

The bare concrete floor requires sealing and I'm considering putting down a two part epoxy flooring and wanted to ask about if anyone had a) any experience of this and b) knew of an epoxy supplier in the UK that also supply "flecked

Headlight bulbs on a 16 GTC Limited Ed
Hi All,

I just picked up my 2016 GTC Limited Edition 1.6CDTI yesterday but have a few questions around headlights. The more I look online the more confused I get, does the 16-17 Limited Ed have different headlights from the previous models as it looks like the same bulb is used for both high beam and dipped?

I can hear a mechanical noise coming from the headlights when flicking from high to low beam.

I plan to order these [url=https://www.hids-direct.co.uk/580-w21-5w-canbus-7-smd-3030-

VXR Front Bumper onto a 5dr
As the 3 door and 5 door wings are both the same i was wondering if a VXR J front bumper would fit onto a 5door J .

If they do fit are they a direct swap or would there be some fabrication needed?

Winning quotes and a November prize draw
IS YOUR CAR INSURANCE DUE IN NOV/DEC?

This forum's insurance partner (Chris Knott) exists to help members like you to find a better car insurance deal.

As we work predominantly with car club members and enthusiasts our insurer partners allow us to go further than perhaps a computer-generated rate would allow. By all means get your comparison site quote if you must but come to us afterwards and we'll be aiming to use that quote as the ceiling not the floor.

A slightly different seat tilt breakage
I've seen a few threads on the VXR's tendency to snap the handle on the seat tilt mechanism, but not on this.....

I've stripped my seat as I could see its not the handle thats broken, and found the end bit to be broken instead. Has anyone had similar, and actually managed to fix it? Vauxhall just quoted £1737 for an entire replacement back rest part of the seat. No cover, nothing else. You cannot buy the cable part separately.

Please advise - Z16LET engine (1.6 turbo, 132 kW) - is it a direct or indirect port?
Hello guys,

searching a lot I was not able to find if the Z16LET - 1.6 turbo, 132 kW petrol engine is a direct or an indirect port engine. I suppose that this 180 HP engine that was used in the 2nd gen of Astras H an then in Astras J is an indirect port petrol engine. And I suppose the 200 HP 1.6 turbo petrol engine that came later is already a direct port engine. Can anyone please confirm or specify this? Thank you.
