since i bought my Astra j 1.7cdti 2011/12 Elite- 5door Hatchback, i have been reading this forum and other Vauxhall forum to get more information and recently did my own servicing.

Starting issue astra j 2010 1.7 cdti
Hi could anybody help with my astra j starting issue.it starts very intermittantly when engine is warm will not start at all. Runs very well when aventually does start. I have changed glow plugs, fuel filter, but cant locate the fuel pump to see if that is an issue.had it to the dealer and they want to do a process of alimination which i cant afford...any ideas please help. Fault Code P24AC 1.7 CDTI
Hi,

I have a 2011 Astra J 1.7 CDTI 96 kW A17DTF ecoflex and one Fault Code P24AC.
EGR Valve is fine. And also EGR Cooler Bypass Solenoid Valve.

Astra J 1.6 16v Auto
Just had the timing belt changed and was advised the water pump was not needed due to it not being driven by the timing belt,  it is driven by the aux belt.

Is this correct?
