searching a lot I was not able to find if the Z16LET - 1.6 turbo, 132 kW petrol engine is a direct or an indirect port engine. I suppose that this 180 HP engine that was used in the 2nd gen of Astras H an then in Astras J is an indirect port petrol engine. And I suppose the 200 HP 1.6 turbo petrol engine that came later is already a direct port engine. Can anyone please confirm or specify this? Thank you.

My 2017 1.4T with just under 50k miles on it has started to make an engine noise, like a chudder.  This is at idle and increases with RPM.

Ive captured it on video. Wasn't sure best way to host the video so I've got a

I currently keep getting a underboost error on my 1.4t.


I am looking to clean my egr valve as the error points to that. But I can find naff all about the valve on this engine. Where is it and how can it be removed? Anyone got tips or even better a link?

Does the egr need to be deleted in the ecu if blanked on this engine?

I am quite new at this forum, so this is my first poost and I hope not break any rules.
In the last days I noticed my Astra is making some weird noise. It seems there is some broken piece inside and quite often creates this `crack` sound. 
The car is an ASTRA J 1.4 turbo 140cv with 67.000km

For the 2nd time now I have encountered the same issue.
My car doesn't get used much for long trips nowadays but I encountered this problem on his last long trip a week ago and one month ago:

Car driving fine, full power no error messages.
Suddenly no power when pushing gas pedal, car begins to stutter instead. But still runs in idle. Engine light comes on.

Hi, I have a question for the owners of a car with a 1.6 Turbo engine (A16LET) - what is your continuous water temperature after the engine has warmed up? For me, according to the data on the board (I haven't measured it with OPCOM yet), it's between 105 - 110 ° C without starting the fan, so I don't know if it's too much. I've been into modding for most of my life but more the old school way of NA (expensive way of going slow) and also turbo'ing cars that weren't turbo from factory.  More recently I've been playing around with more modern cars where software and bolton's make great gains.

Managed to get the car home and after a night on the drive the power was back, engine light still on.
