Hello all, I'm after some help.

I have a 2012 GTC that I bought a few months back and had a new head unit professionally fitted. The car doesn't get used much and the (very old) battery went flat. It was jump started a few times with a power pack and there was nothing wromg with the stereo.

Then I fitted a new battery. The stereo was working right up to the battery change. Now it is as dead as a dodo as is the top display and the indicators no longer make a noise.

I have seen that others have had this same problem, but I am yet to see that anyone has fixed it.

Up to this point, I have disconnected the battery for 60 minutes and reconnected it. Tested all fuses in all 3 fuse boxes and scratched my head a lot.

It must be some sort of fuse or problem between the fuse box and the head unit/display.

Does anyone have any advice or suggestions please?

Hi, apologies if I'm breaking any rules by asking here. I've searched and searched and found very little info from Google or elsewhere. It may be that I'm not using the correct terms, this is why I'm hoping that someone might be able to assist me here.

Tldr (too long didn't read):
I have an electrical static noise coming from the dash passenger side. It sounds like when a speaker is loosely connected and it crackles.

Details:
The noise began after installing a vibe active sub. The sub already has a hi pass, so I used wago connectors to run a speaker wire direct to that using guides to understand where each wire should go. The install went well, the sub sounds nice. At first the noise was not apparent at all. One week after install I noticed the sound coming from what appears to be the passenger tweeter area.

When it occurs:
It doesn't happen when I blast the aircon, or turn the fans on full power.
It does happen when I'm travelling at over 25mph it gets louder and the tone changes slightly the faster I travel.
It doesn't happen when I rev the engine whilst stationary. It continues if I disengage the gear whilst travelling and release the accelerator.
This all indicates a vibration issue, or an electrical contact possibly touching an earth (I doubt this though as I've not interfered with such and the wago joins I'd tested and were well done). But the sound isn't a vibration sound, hard to tell of course whilst driving, but it really does sound like a badly connected speaker with the wire being moved around (I'm kinda hoping so one will know what I mean by that)

Things I've tried, I have tested for a good earth. Resistance is 0.5, that appears fine. I've disconnected the sub speaker wires (hi pass in from back of speaker out in stereo), no difference. I've disconnected the sub entirely, no difference. I've removed the passenger side tweeter, no difference.

My next test has to wait until the weekend, I'll dismount the glove box and get my wife to drive it whilst I listen to localise the sound. I may also go through the whole stereo removal process and double check everything I've done when fitting the sub wires.

Has anyone got any idea what this could be/experienced a similar issue?

Thanks in advance

Hi, I have just bought a vivaro to make into a camper, and bought the satnav genuine stereo to replace the standard stereo I even got the satnav wiring loom as it just plugs in to the main loom behind the stereo and the connectors on the 2 stereos are different. Once replacing the loom to the satnav one, I can have the satnav working when plugging in the big and little connector fine, but the other long thin connector, when I connect this in it makes the dash turn on without the key plugged in, and the stereo just has a flickering back light on the screen and it does not work at all. Without this connector I don't get the microphone working all though I know which wires they are in the long thin connector but there are 6 other wires in that connector 2 yellow 2 that look light pink and 2 that look white or light beige, the stereo does not turn on or off with the ignition, and the screen does not dim when the lights are turned on, does anyone have access to the wiring diagrams for the sat nav and standard stereo they could help with so I can swap pins in the connectors or what ever is needed to get it working as it was intended. Thanks in advance if you are able to help.

I’m new to the forum and I’m from the Czech Republic. I drive a 2012 Opel Zafira C and I really like this car.

My original Navi 900 stopped working, so I decided to replace it with the Navi 950. I already have the Navi 950 unit, but I read that it needs different microphone wiring. Is that true? What exactly needs to be changed?

I’m not very experienced with retrofits, so I would really appreciate any help or advice. Has anyone here done this upgrade in a Zafira C? Was it difficult? Any problems with wiring, compatibility, or coding?

Thank you very much in advance!

Hello everyone,

Hi everyone.

I am installing a new android unit in a 2014 Meriva B and I don't understand one thing.

With the unit I got a new Chinese wiring harness theoretically dedicated to my car. On the panel side of the CD400 there are two plugs. A large one (obvious where to plug it in) and a small one (number 1 in the picture, with two wires black and white).
The small one only fits in one place. To the 8-pin plug (with three wires) that was unplugged from the CD400 panel. But since now the CD400 panel is not plugged in, how can it work ?

Maybe I should not unplug the plug from the CD400 panel. But then what about this Chinese plug with two wires.

To summarize everything at my car works (steering wheel control, canbus) except the CD400 panel.

hello, im doing a research if shock absorber from astra with lowered chassis would fit the standard chassis.
i understand on lowered chassis a spring is "shorter" but what about shocks? would they fit on standard spring, would the shock act stiffer or same?

Hi guys, my name is Alex and I'm new to the forum.
I post there to make a kind request for anyone that has access to information.

I would like to install a heated steering wheel on a Astra J 2010 hatchback that didn't come with heated steering wheel.
My car had heated seats, bi xenon, electronic parking.
I have procured already heated steering wheel, squib for the heated steering wheel, and the central climatronic dual zone with all buttons (heated steering wheel, heated seats). My car only lacked the heated steering wheel button.
Upon investigation I have found that in the rear trunk fuse box the no 19 fuse is missing alongside the pins for the 19 fuse.
I believe the wiring between the fuse and front of the vehicle is missing too.
Considering all purchased and already installed I would like to ask for help for a wiring diagram between the rear fuse box and wherever that wire would go (directly to the squib or the climatronic module).
Any other advice is really appreciated.

I wouldn't have made an account and posted it but i couldn't find any relevant information on the internet over the past 6 months.

Do I also require a programing for the BCM?

Upon installation of the squib there was already a connector waiting (for the heated part) so I believe the connection between the squib and the climatronic module is there.
