you would take the rubber off the brake and clutch pedal and then just put these on and the gas one just goes over.

other thing is does the boot liner fit the actual boot floor (carpet that is directly on top of spare wheel, or does i fit on the secondary floor about 6 inches above that

I think it can however you want it to mate, if this is a genuine VX one your laughing as the aftermarket ones like Lewis has is not 100% fit, good overall but a genuine one would be better.
