What is the part called where the air filter plugs into, the one that feeds air through and into the bottom of the filter

Air duct.

You don't make a lot of sense...

it would help if we knew where / what you are on about as said you question doesn't make much sense.

it should not make any difference really i wouldn't worry about it
but if you do get one a scrap yard will be miles cheaper
