Fading GTC
#1
Hey guys

I’ve got a 2012 GTC in power red. Needed to get my front bumper sprayed and now the rest of the car is very obviously fading to pink. I didn’t really think it would fade due to it having a clear coat. Does anyone know if it’s the paint under the clear coat that’s faded or is it the clear coat that’s damaged? Anyone had any luck polishing it back to red?

Thanks

I'm not a paint expert, but it sounds like its the paint under the clearcoat that is fading
If you're going to have the bumper painted, talk to your chosen bodyshop and see if they can give any advice.
retrofitted = DAB+, GM dog guard, GM reversing camera

Bumper has already been sprayed which is why the rest of the car looks a bit pinky.
