spedometer polish

Hi!

I've a litte doubt about the spedometer on Astra J:

I've already polished the Right and Left side of the spedometer (Miles and Revs) with Meguiars PlastX with good results. 

I didn't polished the center, where is located the IPC, because I don't know if it is the acrylic or LCD. I Think it's plastic but i'm not sure.

Anyone can confirm this?

I saw an image from this forum where Rusty2009 is replacing LED's from the spedometer and looks like there's a plastic above the LCD:

Hi,

There is a plastic cover over the screen.
Astra-J 2.0 CDTI S/S
Retrofitted AFL, TPMS, Navi950, BT, DAB, Rear Camera, Infinity sound system, Towbar, Flexfloor & more.
I can do programming and retrofits using genuine GM MDI and Dealer software.
