if you were having 4 door speakers and a subwoofer  on an amp would you either not use the centre dash speaker or use it un amped?

I'm thinking about this. One trick I seems to be to hook up the left-speaker + and the right-speaker - to the center speaker.
I will have to do some in-car listening to determine whether it's even useful at all.
