So after both deer insertents I have its been found I have a bent OSF drive shaft.

Vauxhall want over £600 for a new one. So been looking on ebay for one but unsure which would be suitable for my Astra J 2010 1.3 CDTi - A13DTE

REMOVED FROM A 2010 5 DOOR VAUXHALL ASTRA J MK6 SRI 1.6 PETROL SRI HATCHBACK - PN: 13250861

Removed From a 2013 vauxhall astra 1.4 manual ONLY 14000 miles

Removed From VAUXHALL ASTRA J MK6 09- 1.4 PN 13250861

Just checked EPC and the part numbers for your car are 13335161 RH 13335160 LH. EPC seems to show the druvshafts have different part numbers for each engine size

Can't remember your reg. Looking at EPC the driveshaft comes complete with CV joints. It appears it's the cv joints that are different so actual shaft might be the same but 100% sure. 13335160 is N/S

you will need the correct one there are many different types
i had to do my drive shaft last year

part number for my one is 13335161 :( none on ebay

i found this one but part number is 13335141 unsure if it would fit

EPC list that shaft for the A14XEL, A14XER and A16XER. Think the difference could be due to the transmission final drive assembly

Why pay Vauxhall overprice labour charges? Go to a small local garage and pay less.

that is the correct alfa code AAD5 driver side the long one
and AAD4 passenger side the short one

what one did you ask for ?? and want

Osf. Which is drivers side but i think vauxhall have got it wrong wrote it wrong. It sounds like the passenger side NS is the one knocking...
I might get the passenger one too

No just get that one done and see what happens
remember they join the gear box on the passenger side at the gear box
so the sound may sound like it coming from there
but it most likely will be this one on the drivers side

Well turns out the drive shaft i brought from ebay, is faulty. When it was fitted was making a clicking sound. So i will be getting my money back. Thought **** it, brought a new one.
