Welcome back to the VXOC FORUM.
Sorry for our lack of support over the last year but MYBB is back and so are we.
Let's get the forum buzzing again... (March 25, 2022)x
Had a sort of productive day, since my reverse camera arrived and my headunit should be here Monday/Tuesday I thought I'd run the wiring for camera through cars and under the carpets. What I thought would be an hour turned into a few..!
Had to take bumper off to get to grommet for wires. Can't reach up the back to do it.
I then connected the rear cam to video cable and power/ground cables and started to run them through car.
It's all tucked away neatly now but you can see where I went with it.
Took rear lower seat out and ran under carpet, this was the hardest part as carpet must be stuck down near centre console.
But it's in and ready for headunit arriving.
Since I now have the led number plate lights spare I decided to brighten up the boot. Only got one in at the moment as I need to grab more cable. Will do otherside shortly!
P.s. My cutting out here was atrocious lol. But it's in and not budging!
Nice work mate, looks like far too much work for me to even consider. I think if I had to try though I would go up the rear pillar into the roof and down to the front, I'd have a nose bleed just thinking about doing what you have just completed lol. Can't wait to see everything in place, up and running.
Spot on mate! Nice one commitment taking the bumper off too! I opted for spending two hours trying to get the wires up via the grommet without taking it off... Haha
@stigeye thanks!!yeah took a while but it's now sorted yeah I thought about that but already have wires going down the a pillars so wanted to avoid it!!
@sheppy1 thanks, yeah I've had it off before so wasn't fussed about it just made it take longer but saying that if it took you two hours I may have done it in less time haha!!
Got some more cable and out the other number plate led in the boot! Looks so much better and you can see now too
So my M072 headunit arrived today and I got to fitting it straight away, probably took just under two hours but I wasn't rushing it. Got to say I love it and I'm so happy with it, had a little play but will keep trying to learn everything it can do!
First off was pulling out the cd400 unit..
Then I fit the god receiver where @sheppy1 has his and with having the alarm it makes the receiver barely noticeable!
Connected up my phone for the Bluetooth and a2dp (whatever it's called) music streaming.
For now the mic is just on the dash but it doesn't bother me being there!
And then finally wired in the live and earth for the reverse camera!!
I'm thoroughly in love with it already and can't wait to learn more about the unit, I also added my entire iTunes library to an sd card so I have it all in the car with no CDs in sight!!
yeh... **% more light or something they said to me when I bought Osram Night breaker for my car. Not that I felt tricked afterward cause I didnt belived it, but the price was decent and Osram is german. Low beam is rubbish anyway, better to go all in on full beam and auxiliary lights. Mooses, cats, deers and lorry drivers will challenge you.

I give in on my light pursuit, I'm a lorry driver and have 5 big spotlights on my roof, 2 spots in the visor and the 2 full beam lights, when i hit it I call it my daylight switch, nothing even comes close on a car and it's just depressing to try.
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives.

Yes, you got the point. Animals runs out when they see light and lorry drivers wake sleepy drivers up.
What have you done with your right side hood? Its a dent.

i am aware your number plates are legaL BUT I still wondered have you been stopped by the police for them, a friend of mine has legal pressed plates and he got pulled this morning. nothing came off it but its a worry if they alert the police to your car

See mine doesn't have the BS kitemark as I asked for the space between the 4 & L to be removed which made them illegal. Still passed an MOT at Vauxhall so can't be too obvious

Why not? Its a private plate so wanted the wording together. The letters aren't changed in anyway, and the gaps are all the same, it just doesn't have the gap in the middle. I don't think it's that obvious to be honest
Some more little updates which I'm thrilled about and have to thank @CornishTaz for!!
Roof LEDs
Parking brake and under gear light
Door handle lights
Door lock and TC button
Also a shot with footwell lights too
Since I've got the android head unit I've installed a factory look USB. I just cut my standard fascia so it's not perfect!
Also my next little mod is the debadged grille but colour coded to car.
Next up is a front splitter as I have the side skirts. Then it will be a backbox delete and straight through pipes to a double dual exhaust unless my mind gets changed again
Looking good @Tonto, some nice mods especially with the green lighting.
I need to do the usb mod for my head unit as its just a cable atm sticking out the dash, is that a Vauxhall stock USB adapter rewired? or
just a standard usb cable made to fit?
Hey bud, thanks. It's the factory USB but the head unit came with a connector that just simply connects. No rewiring required! Also have a spare USB I need to find a place for too as the head unit has a one on the back with the grey extension cable too
I know im being thick but i cant get my head round this. So the android comes with a grey usb i understand that. It also comes with one for the oem usb mount.
That has a different end to a normal usb. How do you then connect it to the centre console like the oem. Is that cable also with the kit or do you have to buy one

Yeah I must of missed this connection on my unit, not sure what it looks like without taking it all apart again..... Although im going to have to buy the usb oem socket now. But id also like to know the answer too to mrtc's question.
