Hmmmm you both may be correct! See where you're coming from... Would save me a bunch of time and effort if I didn't have to paint them too! Will see how I feel when I see them

Satnav is great! Had it lock up for the first time today however but there's a small reset button on the front which I pressed which rebooted it and brought it back working again
Happy light show is a bit of a pain ATM! Had some issues with it, told the manufacturer and they said they have never seen these issues before but are sending me a new unit out.
Here's the new alloys all installed on my car :
Decided not to paint in the end...will get them done properly in the future should I want too.

You sure? I'm almost certain they use a different stud pattern & would also gave bigger than 18" wheels too.

Hmmmmm not sure! Can only find these alloys by searching Insignia SRI VX Line...and they are the same ones that were on that model Insignia that I saw in a showroom last week...can't find any pics of them on an Astra...
Think these are them:

Thanks mate! And I actually agree! Really thinking of not bothering with painting them. These look really really silver too... Like a whiteish silver compared to the elite ones I have which are more like a dull silver... Not sure if it's because they're newer or what?

I have someone coming next week to refurb it though

Exactly! Well... I cba ringing around trying to find out who damaged them and proving it etc. So just manning up and dealing with it... Another had a small mark on it in the same place but not worth fixing it for 60 quid

Gonna get one of these:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/External-Micro...SwDNdV23Fu
And run it from the head unit up the A pillar and into the roof lining...the current one on the dash is perfect but just be better having it in the factory location but it's not long enough...above one is 3 meters long so will be spot on

Can imagine mate! Especially being on this forum too and seeing everyone doing stuff to their cars :(
@tonto what MM are yours and what should the deciding factors be as to how low they should go?
Also to anyone who may be able to help....is it possible to buy one of these dummy buttons with lots of microphone style holes in it? was thinking I'd be able to just stuff my MIC behind there instead...

These are the ones I got, states they're for 1.7 & 2.0cdti. With me having the Sri it was already 10mm lower than other models but they're 40mm drop total!!
https://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/321927305954
Pretty simple and straight forward to change really but I did have a mechanic help me lol! I've not had any issue with my 17s on and will eventually get some 18s..
