Mileage reset

Hi i tried the disconnecting negative on the battery for about an hour ,reconnected it again and the miles are back to zero again , anyone got any views whats going on .its a gtc 65 plate 1,6 turbo limited ed. very frustrated with this ,,

hi I’m new to the forum , I purchased a gtc limited edition earlier this year , yesterday it broke down and was advised the battery was faulty, I got the battery replaced , but when I got my car back the miles where reading 0000000.
Where has my mileage gone ?
Any explanation anyone , thanks
