Follow me home lights are standard but I don't think there is a setting for them in your config menu unless you have auto lights I think. I have a look through my config menu the other night and can't find any settings for those lights, maybe it's an option that can be enabled through tech2... The follow me home lights worked fine though using those steps you mentioned, the lights stayed on for at least a minute.
