Short shifter on my VXR made a massive difference as the original throw on the F40 was quite long. On my K with the M32 the original throw wasn't quite as long but the short shifter has made a difference.
I'd deffo recommend it for the price. Also once you've fitted it check the gear linkage adjustment.
